This month, a new and important resource is available for natural health consumers nationwide—the first Natural Health Congressional Scorecard. Now, individuals in the integrative health and wellness community can easily see where their Members of Congress stand on the issues that are important to natural health consumers.
Through the Natural Health Score Card, Citizens is taking an active role in educating natural health consumers. The Scorecard provides consumers with objective and factual information about decision makers’ positions on many crucial issues related to health choice and wellness, environmental health and organic food, and consumers’ rights and access to health options. The Scorecard rates each Member of Congress based on their personal votes on natural health issues, co-sponsorship of bills that relate to our issues and answers to the Natural Health Congressional Questionnaire. The Scorecard is not only being used to give voters the ability to make informed choices, but also will let Congress know that a large number of citizens care deeply about the healthcare crisis.
