Integrative Approach to Fighting Cancer

Story:

I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in October, 1999. I give all the glory to the mercy and grace of my God, and believe without question He led me into and through the therapy. Immediately after the diagnosis I went on a very high supplemental therapy. it was my choice, and I also chose the supplements from information I had from Dr. Whitaker's wellness program. I continued this program until I started radiation. At that time, my radiologist said "NO Vitamins, they fight the radiation and make it less effective." My question is, if supplements are a waste of time, why do they fight radiation? I went through the chemo very well, (taxel and carboplatin). Blood work was always good, did not vomit, appetite good, gained weight instead of losing it, and remained fairly active. I finished treatment in Feb., 2000 and went back on my supplemental regime. I have had no recurrence so far, and with the grace of God I pray I won't. Why would anyone doubt the power of God or the benefits of supplements? It is my understanding that the Cancer Centers of America use all of these things together to fight cancer, as well as the conventional treatments such as chemo and radiation.
